One option is to unplug as many USB devices as possible and then plug them back in one at a time. I've has similar issues. Once it was a faulty USB cable and the other time it was a corrupted drive. Random USB issues are frustrating. Could be software as well, sorry I don't have a clear answer, just try to eliminate things...

Thanks so much for this suggestion. I did try a replacement front panel cable as well as another drive. Unfortunately those attempts did not remediate the issue and at this point I've exhausted most avenues of support. It's not the end of the world as the rear mobo USB ports function as expected. Thanks again!
