VH236 control panel stopped working

My monitor(Asus VH236)'s control panel stopped working, as in the volume control and other monitor setting buttons.

I went inside and accidentally broke the cord that connects the control panel to the monitors main motherboard, and I need to replace the cord for it inorder for the monitor to work correctly now.

This is a picture of the wire I need to replace, anyone have any idea what its called or where I can find a replacement?

The service manual for the monitor just lists it as "KEY BOARD CABLE"

What part of the cable broke? If the wires are just cut, you could just re-splice them, although it will be a real pain.

If you broke the connector housing part (the plastic that snaps into the button array) then you might have to try contacting ASUS and ask them to send you that part. Short of that, I'm guessing ebay has failed you? I would try looking on there if you haven't.

It should be straight forward if the button array is just bad. If it's not possible to find any out there, I guess sending it in to ASUS is your only option. Sorry I haven't been much help.
