Hey All,

Quick question about compatibility of SSD drives.

Will this drive:

Work in the g752vs-xb72k laptop?

I know the laptop uses nvme drives, so I'm not sure if you can use a non nvme drive like the sandisk.

Thanks!

So I had a chat with Asus yesterday, and they said you can only go as high as 512gb on the nvme ports. That seems ... wrong. But might explain why the drive I have isn't even showing up in the bios.

Unless of course I can't use a non nvme drive in that slot.

not sure about this I put a 512 950 pro in and there are problems but it works. not as fast as it should be.. but I haven't tried a bigger one yet. definitely seems that I should have not gotten a m.2 laptop yet because they don't have them working correctly yet.. not even drivers for them all yet lol

Your rig is for NVMe, SATA won't work, those of us that got ours with M.2 SSD are not having issues. Trade in your sandisk for a Samsung 951 which is standard issue with G752 or a 950 pro and you'll have to F6 install IRST RAID driver
