Corrupted icons on desktop

Hi guys.
Someone of you maybe can help me with this issue.
The shortcuts icons on my desktop are covered by a black square, and this come back even if I delete or create new icons.
Just tried other solutions, like Hijackthis or rebuilding the icons cache.
Hope someone can answer.
I am using Win8.

Those black squares are still annoying.
I feel the solutions it's easy, but I don't know how solve this.

Try resetting both the thumbnail and icon caches.

sometimes we have to do what we have to do, so try a reinstall of you O.S.
if you have a ssd and use 8,1 it will take less the 15m to be as new

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! SOLVED.

After triyng without lucky to reset icon cache, shortcuts and registry key using the windows integrated tools, CCleaner, Hijackthis and other guides founded on the web, I fixed the damned black squares with TWEAK UI for windows 8.
There is a tab dedicated for the icons, all I have done was cliccking on "reset icons to default".
The only question now is... "Why this happened? O_o"

Hope this can help someone other in the future.

I'm no expert but you can see varying sized icons and it looks like the "shadow"/backdrop got inverted in front instead of behind the icon like it should be. Not sure what caused it though. Very quirky..
