Graphics drivers are irrelevant. It is the RST(e) driver related. Which version are you using?

Jees Nodens these Intel drivers are really messed up right now. Any idea how this came about, but maybe that should be a thread of its own.

What I know for now is the 3.2 and 3.5 codetrees are bad for Win7. I haven't seen reports of them crashing in Win8 which most likely means that Win8 optimization broke something in Win7. 3.1 codetree appears to be fine and I also haven't heard of any issues with force-loaded 11.x 🙂

If he's not running one of the affected branches though it could be system instability triggering it, incompatibility with particular SSD controller or memory corruption..hence I'm asking for the version 😉 Maybe we should sticky a "Stay away for 3.2.x and 3.5.x if you're on Win7 heh..

You can try it. I don't use the controller so I can only tell you what I know from reports, examining minidumps and controller OROMs (see above). What I personally suggest is 11.7 if you're running a board with a 11.x OROM (or my patched for TRIM version) or 3.1.x if you're running a 3.x OROM (stock ASUS X79 board UEFI).
