This issue is probably nto specific to the M8F since I've seen numerous problem reports (but no solutions) for various ASUS mobos running Linux.
Here's the basic problem:

Note that the CPU fan reports zero RPM but is indeed turning. There is no entry for the water pump RPM. I believe the core problem may be that there is no config file for the sensor software to read.

after testing. However, it is ** very important ** that you
physically verify that the fans have been to full speed
after the program has completed.
/usr/sbin/pwmconfig: There are no pwm-capable sensor modules installed

There are quite a few perople using these high end ROG mobos to power their Linux machines..... a little guidance on what sort of config file needs to be added (perhaps in /etc/sensors.d ?) would be helpful.
This machine otherwise runs really dandy with 64 Gb RAM and i7-6700k 4.0 Ghz CPU
Any help would be appreciated!
