I have got two new m.2s coming with the intention of installing them to my laptop, one will become the gaming drive and the other as mass storage. The drives coming are the Sabrent Rocket Q and the WD Blu SN570 and both are Gen 3.
My Question is to anyone that has put extra drives in this laptop, what heatsinks, if any, did you use? did you have to install anything to sit between the underside of the m.2 and the aluminium cage that sits underneath were the additional drives go?
I have noticed that the factory installed drive seems to have a couple of metal shims fitted to either side and thats about it as far as cooling goes, has anyone tried fitting a heatsink to the installed drive?
