PG27AQDM OLED new firmware older version number.

Hi,

I just saw a new FW posted for the 27" OLED 240Hz monitor on the Asus website. However, it contains a version number older than the previous one MCM103. Also, it's not digitally signed by Asus. It's actually not signed at all. Should this update be applied over MCM103?

Hello cx-ray

According to the dates, the top one is the most recent one, I'd install that one.

Hi, thanks for your reply.

I found this article in the meantime that elaborates on the firmware version confusion.

A lot of detail. Scroll the page to the bottom for those who are just interested in the bottom line.

Also, I've found that you can make your desktop and SDR content look pretty decent in HDR mode by increasing the SDR content brightness slider in Windows. Personally, I leave Windows in HDR unless I require better accuracy.
