SATA 3 SSD working at SATA 2 speed

So I ran an overall benchmark and it turns out my PC recognizes the SSD as if it's connected to SATA 2.How can I fix this?*running win 10*

Well a few details would help.

What model of laptop do you have?

Where is the drive installed?

For starters any other details you think may be pertinent as well.

If you have a G751 and have installed into the second drive bay, not much can be done for you in that setup. You can install the SSD in the primary bay (even with a M.2 drive install using a bit of hackery) or use a SATA extension cable to extend the port over to the second bay.
