hello i just recently bought an Asus g750 and ive trying to find answers to my questions, i hope you guys are kind enough to answer.

first of all im not very tech savvy so hang with me here.

first question, is it just me or my screen looks really edgy. ive had an asus g53sx before this but it seems like the edges of everything i see is realyl sharp, like pixelated?

second question, why does it says i have intregated HD 4600 on DxDiag display section showing only 1,792mb Total Memory.

sorry for the bad explanation.

Edit by cl-Albert: Sounds like Fehaya has the G750JZ model using the GTX880M

Hi,
well, if you had G53SX with FHD, you had higher DPI density because of smaller screen, in 750 it's biger so with same FHD resolution you have smaller DPI

750 got two GPU, integrated intel HD 4600 and GTX8xxM, it's using intel HD for most of 2D, and GTX for 3D graphics, which helps to save battery. unfortunetly intel HD 4600 is as first GPU listed, dxdiag will show it as GPU #1, you must use Optimus or Nvidia panel to override default usage of intel HD, but still in many apps, it will be displayed. I have G56 with both intel and GTX760M, and any benchmark displays intel graphic as main

Probably your laptop is using HD 4600 to play LoL, open Nvidia panel, get into 3D settings, program settings, find there LoL, and choose to use high performance Nvidia GPU and check if it works.

that's exactly why I hate laptops with dual graphics (Intel HD + some dedicated graphics chipset) you have too much to worry about to get apps to only use your GPU

Regarding the OP's concern, do you have the matte screen now? coz if you do, then that's your problem.

Glossy screens are way sharper/crisper. that's why I ensured I don't get a matte screen with my current G750 as they look like someone spilt grease all over them, so grainy and ugly colors

honestly i cant tell which is which on screens. this screen doesnt seem glossy so im guessing its a matte, i didnt even know you could have a different type of screen. I thought theyre all the same for everyone. And thank you both of you for the help
