G75 No display

Had my charging port repaired, brought it home from the repair shop, ran fine for about 10 minutes, and the display went black. It had done it intermittently, but a restart always did the trick, not this time. Back to the repair shop, replaced the display, and display cable, $200 later, I get it back with a black screen. You can see it lighting up, but nothing on the display. Plug into the tv via vga or hdmi, comes right up on the tv. Tried several times unplugging, removing battery, and holding the power button down to discharge, still nothing. Any ideas?

When the first new screen was installed, and still black, it was sent back in case it was damaged during shipping, or just bad. So this is the second new screen, and also replaced the stock ribbon with a new one. Repair guy is baffled.

Baffled or Incompetent these cables connections are very delicate and ribbons have to be routed from the base up through the Hinge exactly correctly. Hopefully he hasn't damaged the MB connections?
