Wow!! as I was browsing on the PC Tweakers forums, I found this guide and followed it step by step, Video Quality is insane!! so smooth @ 60 FPS now I want to rewatch all my movies again! Diff. experience!

And the audio setings they chose especially choosing the Dolby Surround/Pro Logic+LFE made a night and day difference! Coupled with CMan's Custom Equalizer settings, now my G75VW sounds better than ever before!!!!

Heh. These looks like some of my settings. I use Potplayer+SVP (that will install most of the apps used there). I think I've mentioned this in here somewhere since another member suggested SVP package with MPC.

But I still use 10800 drivers.

Still, there is one thing I hate, GPU will be used at full speed. More heat and noise. So you'll have to downclock the P0 state.

Yeah I think the OP there used the Lite Version of SVP because the FULL installer includes outdated versions of ffdshow and others so he preferred to use the Lite version and install everything manually.

I have been using SVP for quiet a while and once you get used to the quality and smoothness, there is no going back.

I never noticed any excessive heat, at the end of the day, I want to make full benefit of my top of the line notebook 😉

Seems like a whole lot of extra programs and work clogging up my computer and my time.

Is the trouble really worth it?

Those programs are very quick to install and the guide tells you everything step by step.

One good thing is that he included a registry settings for the PotPlayer configuration otherwise that would've taken much more time configuring than the entire guide / apps you see so go ahead and try it, you will never EVER use anything else after experiencing the smoothness of SVP and the Quality of LAV + madVR

System will run just fine. If the quality is worth it, it's another matter. Potplayer alone is one fine player. I would start from there.

Well, I suppose I'll give it a try and report back with my reactions.

The SVP file won't install properly. Says I'm missing one of the FFD components. But that shouldn't be right; I've followed all of the instructions so far.

Thoughts?

This is awesome!! thank you for posting this 🙂

so did you see the difference in audio / video quality? What do you think of the smoothness?
