Greetings everyone! I just got my g75 from Best Buy today and its pretty sweet. This is my first gaming laptop so Im a little unsure about some stuff. As of now my biggest concern is cpu temps. I idle at around 47-48 celsius and I get up to about 76 celsuis during Vantage runs. Is this normal or high? I have always had gaming desktops and this just seems kind of high to me. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

That definitely seems high. According to my logs, after a long session of Diablo 3 my CPU reched a max temp of 57* C. It idles around 40* for me.

I'm guessing you have an issue or a bad paste job.

Yea I get about 57 max while playing Diablo 3 as well.

Test it with Prime 95 for max temps, I get 74 more or less wen max heat test in Prime. When gaming no problem, CPU does not even need to kick in. I recomend you to use Everest Software to check the rpm of the cpu fan at idle, I have 2100rpm at idel in CPU fan.

Hope it helps.
