Z170 PRO GAMING 1151 best setup for gaming without overclocking

I'm running a brand new Z170 PRO GAMING 1151, with a Core i7 6700 3.4ghz CPU, 16 gig 3000Mhz DDR4 a
Geforce GTX 980ti Strix and Windows 10 64. In the BIOS I have set the RAM at full speed, that being 3000 Mhz, when I look within the Asus system Monitor it says the RAM is set at 2132 Mhz? The Asus AI Suite 3 allows me to set the system at "Rocket" mode, which apparently is the fastest mode, but there is no way to increase the performance of the RAM or the CPU that I can see. Does anyone know what BIOS or system settings to use? This was an expensive build and I prefer the BIOS on my Asus rampage III Gene, to the BIOS on this Mobo, it was far less convoluted. Thanks

Make sure you have the latest BIOS version installed for your model motherboard. See Drivers and Tools tab here:
https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/Z170-PRO-GAMING/HelpDesk/

If your ram is rated 3000Mhz, use the drop down menu in the BIOS for the ram section and choose XMP. (SAVE your BIOS settings and reboot)
If that doesn't work, manually set the ram to 3000Mhz in the BIOS.

:confused:Thanks for the reply, I regularly check for updates and have the latest drivers installed including the 802 Bios. The Ram was already set to 3000 or actually just slightly more, can't remember the figure, but I cannot see in any of the settings a way to check or change the RAM to XMP. I'm assuming it's using the best settings, but can you direct me to those settings? Thanks

This page shows in the BIOS EZ Mode where XMP is located. They have it disabled in the first pic and enabled in the one below that.

Thank you for your help I appreciate it. 🙂 Seems my bios was automatically set to XMP and all the settings (that I could find) match your recommendations, so I guess I'll just have to deal with it as it stands. The only real problem I have with the new system is the boot time, takes a lot longer than my old system. but everything else seems fine. Looking forward to seeing if my power bill reflects the money I sunk into it. Catchya 🙂
