Rampage V 10TH have only up to 2800MHz on QVL list for Broadwell-EX...
And 3200MHz 8x8 will depend most from Memory Controller.
You really need 64GB of RAM?
Maybe you can risk with some nice 3200MHz kit, Dominator Platinum is more expensive than others.
Maybe is this kit good and cheaper... nice timmings.
GSkill say QVL for Rampage boards X99.
http://www.gskill.com/en/product/f4-3200c14q2-64gtzAround new year I will buy same only 32GB if other people confirm stability on ASUS X99.
I had so nice expectations from Pascal TITAN. I expect some full chip 3840 CUDA, 16GB HBM2 for 1000$.
That would be nice, but this TITAN is worse of all and don't deserve to think on him at all.
GTX1080 is excellent but I think she is expensive for such card. If you look better she is 10-15% stronger than TITAN X.
For 2 years only 10-15% improvement for 200-300$ less. That's terrible. And why people complain on latency so much...something is not right.
But if NVIDIA really replace GP104 with GV104 that would be excellent card.
My plan was GTX1080, but not before AMD show their cards. I would not like to pay more for mid class NVIDIA than stronger Vega.
AMD need 50% stronger card than Fury X and GTX1080 is beaten. Maybe because of that rumors about GV Pascal.
That would be similar situation as Fermi GTX470-480 > GTX570-580. Or Kepler GTX770-680>GTX770-780.
GTX1080 is great card but for 500$ and 550 euro in Europe.
Not for 800 euro better custom models. For same price NVIDIA should offer at least 30% better than GTX1080.
