Rog Flow X16 (2022) system fan constantly running at 100%

Hi,

My Flow X16 is running the system fan (the middle one) at 100% (6000RPM) constantly.

It doesn't matter what profile I select or what temperatures are reported it stays on full, all the time.

I have tried:

  • Updating the BIOS (313 and USB4 Beta)
  • reinstalling AC - using the uninstaller
  • updating windows and everything else!

These two screenshots show the fans speeds and temps in armory crate, one when all fans are running and one where the fans are all reporting as 0RPM, though I can assure you that the central fan remains on at 100% in all cases.

So in other words the CPU and GPU fans are working as intended, but the system fan just runs 100 no matter what I do.

Hi All,

Thank you for the support @Falcon2_ROG , I have determined that the issue was related to the fan pin connector. The fan was not fully inserted into the connector on the motherboard. Now the connection is firmly in place the system is functioning perfectly and silent mode is truly silent!
