Hello, Dutchman013.

May I ask if you are using an empty USB flash drive (at least 8 GB) to create Windows 10 installation media?
If so, please cross-test with another empty USB flash drive or USB port and try the steps again.

Meanwhile, please try selecting another driver to install.

Thank you.

hello,
thank you for a reply.
yes my usb flash is 32gb big.
now what you say i did not use the usb port of the mobo itself but the usb port who is connected to the mobo.
but after the downgrade of the bios i still was able to instal windows.
Â*when iÂ*downgrade the bios i was able to do more things.
i was able to instal windows 10 again.
after a short of time blue screen starts again.
and then blue screen after blue screen.
when i did do nothing at the desktop screen no blue screen.
but when i press start and was going to windows update blue screen starts again.
Â*also i did a ram test in the bios itself it cost 1,5hours to do that.
no problem there.
sorry my english is not my first language.Â*Â*

Hello, Dutchman013.

Thank you for sharing the updated information.
Could you please help to confirm the question below?

1. What is the current BIOS version?
What CPU model, PSU, and cooling are currently installed?
It is advised that you determine whether the wattage of the power supply and cooling system support your device.

2. Have you finished the process of reinstalling Windows 10, as you mentioned that you were able to do so after updating the BIOS?
It is recommended that you test with Windows 10 instead of Windows 10 Pro.

3. Have you tested the M.2 SSD in other slots?
Please refer to the link below to test with the SSD within the QVL list if possible.
https://rog.asus.com/motherboards/rog-maximus/rog-maximus-z790-apex-model/helpdesk_qvl_device/

4. When the blue screen appears, are there any error codes?

Thank you.
