i just bought 2x ram Dominator® Platinum with Corsair Link Connector — 1.5V 16GB Dual Channel DDR3 Memory Kit (CMD16GX3M2A1600C9) http://goo.gl/4Ju2T9 with Airflow

but i am really disappointed with the result. is there anyway to make it faster?

Here is my setup:
Motherboard: Asus ROG Maximum VI Extreme
Processor: Intel Core i7 4770k
Water Cooling: Cooler Master Nepton 280L
Ram: 4x8GB Corsair Dominator Platinum 1600MHz (CMD16GX3M2A1600C9) with Airflow
GPU: 2x ASUS ROG POSEIDON-GTX780-P-3GD5 GeForce GTX 780
PSU: Corsair Professional Series™ Gold AX1200
SSD 1: Corsair Neutron Series™ GTX 240GB SATA 3 6Gb/s SSD
SSD 2: Intel® SSD 510 Series (120GB, 2.5in SATA 6Gb/s, 34nm, MLC)
HDD 1: Western Digital Black 2TB
HDD 2: Western Digital Green 2TB
Chassis: Corsair Carbide Series® Air 540
Keyboard: Corsair Vengeance K95
Mouse: Corsair Vengeance M90 Black 15 Buttons

What do you do with your PC k1ng440? if it's normal computing and gaming then your RAM speed won't make any noticeable difference...it's only benchmarks that really show any differences.

It really depends on the luck of the draw with respect to the kit and what RAM chips it has on it what you can get out of it. You can increase voltage (vdimm) a bit say. 1.6v or 1.65v and see if you can a) tighten timings....8-8-8-24 or even 7-7-7-24 or 7-8-7-24...that kind of thing...or increase frequency....try 1866 leaving timings the same....

I agree with Arne and WhitePaw. That's about the latency and bandwidth I'd expect from DDR3-1600 RAM. In the absence of an XMP profile, you have to build your own overclock along the lines of Arne's suggestion.

my slightly Overclocked 1333mhz memory-->

When you overclock it, yes i run faster.. if you want to learn, this forum got some theoretical guides.. just browse for them

i feel the win run faster, apps launch faster, and overall everything is quicker.. i can very well be wrong.. but thats how i experience a mem OC

even tho the above OC, isnt really good for anything

a good 24/7 OC with tight timings<< thats nice...

OC IT!!!!!

Agree with others that that is about what you would expect with 1600 MHz CL9. CL9 isn't that fast for 1600 MHz RAM.

You will only get better latency if you can either tighten the timings, or go to a higher memory clock while keeping the timings tight.
