Asus G53S Audio Jack problem

Hi All,

My laptop seems to have passed the warranty time and I am having problems with its audio input jack. I need to rotate or slowly move the audio input pin in order to hear anything on headphone

Can someone please suggest a cheap way of fixing this? Is it possible to get a replacement audio jack and fix it myself. I have good experience with fixing desktop computer technical problems but havent worked with laptop repair in past.

Welcome to the ROG Forum!

Turn it off completely, then use a can of compressed air to blow out any possible dirt may be there...

Hi @shah.syedarif

I have similar issues with my g53s with the difference i'm not getting any sound when i plugin my headphones.

I want to ask if you solved this and how?, thanks for any answer.

nope..there seem to be no solution for this and it seems like a common problem for asus laptops..unfortunately...wrong choice of laptop..speaker quality is too bad and full of issues like these..
