Hey, I posted this in another thread too, but when setting EXPO, be patient - this motherboard and BIOS takes A LOT longer than my previous to set and test settings. Other post below:
OK, I think the issue may have been with ME in this case. I just set EXPO I in my BIOS again, but this time I tried to be patient, because every other time after about a minute and a half or two minutes of the PC not booting, I'd power down and reset my CMOS.
This time, however, I waited for 3 minutes (roughly) and my PC booted! With EXPO I set, and working perfectly in Windows 11 Pro right now! Patience is key - looks like the 7101 BIOS I'm using now works.
FWIW, my hardware is:
ASUS ROG STRIX X870E-E GAMING
AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU
G.SKILL Trident Z5 NEO RGB 64GB DDR5 RAM Kit 2x 32GB - 6000 MT/s - CL30 - 1.4V -
30-40-40-96 - AMD EXPO Optimized (MPN:F5-6000J3040G32GX2-TZ5NR)
3x M.2 NVME SSDs in Slots 3,4 and 5.
Hope this helps someone.

Same issue here, but on the X870E-E Gaming. As soon as I try and enable any of the EXPO profiles, or select any RAM speed other than AUTO (I have G.Skill Trident Z5 6000MT/s CL30 64GB kit (2x32), my PC absolutely refuses to boot. CMOS reset is the only way to get back into the BIOS. Very frustrating.

You could try manually setting the RAM timings instead of EXPO. It might be tricky, but some users have reported success. Just be careful and research safe voltage levels for your RAM.

I’ve tried manually setting ram and also manually setting timings to the same as EXPO nothing I try seems to work. I’m thinking maybe the next bios update can fix this issue but it Sucks paying extra money for high speed ram and being locked to 3200

I’ll try this when I get home but does it take that long to boot every time after you have made the changes and it’s cycled once what I’m saying is it a one time thing or is it after every power cycle

Update to this thread to hopefully help others with this issue after applying my overlock settings and letting the pc sit it took exactly 5 min 37 seconds for my pc to boot with the applied setting all setting work as set and boots after the initial over lock retain the changes and boots are normal

Excellent, really happy to hear this!

So after you Exit & Save the changes you just left your computer alone and it came back on by itself or did you have to manually restart it after the 3 minutes? I have had to reset the BIOS 3 times so far.

So I set a timer and let it go till it booted it may take longer than other it’s just depends I’ve read up on it ant apparently someone claimed it took them 15 mins and to answer your question it booted on its own with no interference from me also since it’s been done all subsequent boots have been normal and the settings even saved
