Sound problems with x570 TUF + Xonar D2X

Hello,

Since some months ago, I have a lot of sound problems with my motherboard (ASUS TUF x570) and my sound card (ASUS Xonar D2X).

When I listen to music by my Headphones the sound is perfect but when I do the same with my speakers the sound explodes and has like interferences especially when there are silences and the sound continues after.

Can someone help me with that?

I tried to do a hard clear cmos, reset default parametres and format my MNVe, and nothing, the problem persist.

Regards.

Hi,

ASUS has already stated that this sound card is not Ryzen compatible : https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?101937-Essence-STX-II-STX-II-7-1-amp-Xonar-D2X-incompatibl....

A bus station is where a bus stops. A train station is where a train stops. On my desk, I have a work station…

In this link, ASUS says only the STX ll and STX ll 7.1 are not compatible with my chipset, I have a D2X sound card, it is full compatible but i have interference sound problems.

Xonar D2X is covered here http://maxedtech.com/asus-xonar-cards-and-amd-ryzen-am4-motherboards-compatibility-report/

and you might want to read that along with this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asus_Xonar because it looks to me like that card is really old and if you read this in combination with this https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?101937-Essence-STX-II-STX-II-7-1-amp-Xonar-D2X-incompatibl.... Well it really sounds like the card is past it, I wonder if onboard sound is better in most cases.

But to summarise for you, Xonar D2X - incompatible with X370, B350, and X470 MBs and more than likely every board thereafter.

Who knows maybe you can find a way through all that information to get it working but chances are AMD will release an AGESA update and boom it's broken again or miss out on whatever is in the package. I take the AGESA update personally over trying to worry about this old thing working. There are awesome onboard sound cards these days and extremly good DAC / headset packages.

Hope you find this of help.

The sound of my D2X is highly superior than any onboard card, I don't think they are uncompatible (board + sound card) because I can use it without problems when I listen music, I only have problems when I'm playing like a problem with electrical issues.

OMG! No, thanks, this is like a crap.
