This processor is not listed in the list of compatible CPUs, but the 5800x3D is, so I don't see why the motherboard should not support this CPU. Maybe the list is just not updated often? Or maybe a newer BIOS version is needed?

Hi @drfelip, the newer CPU SKUs are supported including the 5700x3D. You should see them up on the QVL soon.

Did you end up trying this combo? I have the same mobo, and am wondering if these two work together. Thanks!

Not yet. I'm not really in a hurry to upgrade the CPU, I'm probably going to upgrade the GPU first. If I decide to upgrade the CPU and there is no BIOS upgrade providing compatibility with the 5700x3D (I'm not holding my breath, there is still no compatibility with the 5600x3D, which was launched in July), I'll probably go with the 5800x3D. I'd prefer the 5700 because it should be a bit cooler, but I don't think the risk of buying a CPU without official support is worth the trouble: even if you can return the CPU if it's not compatible, you have to disassemble and reassemble everything, and all that jazz.

Great! Thanks! I see it's official now: https://rog.asus.com/motherboards/rog-strix/rog-strix-b350-f-gaming-model/helpdesk_cpu/
Interestingly, both the Ryzen 5 5600x3D and the Ryzen 7 5700x3D seem to be supported from BIOS 6042, that was released 2022/05/12.
