I have a max iv gen z mlb.
the problem I am haveing is that I am trying to boot from a cdrom drive.
the disk I am booking is a win 8 setup disk, I get this message press any key to boot from cd/dvd rom.
even tho I am banging the space bar over and over the cd boot defaults back to my hard disk.
I believe the issue is that my keyboard is a usb and not a ps2 type.
can anyone suggest a solution to my issue?
thank you.

Hi,

The detection and how things are activated on bootup can cause a bit of havoc like you mention when using USB rather that PS2 keyboard. The best way to avoid it as you want to boot from a setupdisk is to change the priority for boot in the Bios. Once you have changed the first boot disk to be the CD-DVD you should be ok. To be on the safe side make sure the second boot disk is not set at all.

Additionally - ensure you have the USB keyboard connected to a USB 2.0 port (not a USB 3.0 port).
