Asus x570 Crosshair Hero High Pch Temperature

Hello ım using ryzen 9 3900x and asus crosshair 8 hero. I have a problem my pch temp idle 65-70c this is normal ? Im using hwinfo.(last bios and chipset version)

I have the same problem.

The chipset temperature reaches 72°C in idle (~3300 RPM PCH-Fan).

My Vega's right over the chipset cooler.

In games the chipset reaches 75-77°C maximum.

Hopefully you can control the PCH fan manually in the next BIOS.

really bad temp for idle 😞 hopefully resolved in the next bios

BIOS 0802 didn't fix the problem. It would be nice if the hidden menu would be displayed. It is already build in (see attachment).

Maybe with the next version 😉

anyone tried running the gfx card in the second pcie slot and see effects on PCH temps? Is there much of a performance hit to run off the second slot?

Same thing on X-570F. Chipset running between 72°C and 78°C with ambiant temp at 30°C despite the fan being at full speed all the time, I'm wondering about putting some Kryonaut in there. Cannot try putting my GPU card on another slot but there's clearly a conception problem because there's like 2mm space between the card and the Chipset intake, the air should be drawn from the side or something...

There's some serious design flaws with the strix and below motherboards. The heatsink only cover about half of the chipset, and it's making contact through a thermalpad.
