Blinking Red Lights on pci ports

Jakal92

My graphics card recently started flashing red lights above each PCI port, 3 in total. My graphics card is a ROG Strix 3070 TI. My computer randomly restarted after 6 months of running fine. I did a check with the Armoury Crate software and (while not gaming) my card and CPU were running around 30-40C.

I'm not finding much about the 3 flashing red lights beyond it's a power supply issue. I do have a PCI splitter on one of the cords due to my power supply not having enough plugs for the Graphics Card.

Anyone have any ideas?

Hi Jakal192,

Welcome to the ROG forum.

It seems the pcie splitter is the culprit, you should be using three separate pcie power cables for the best stability.

It might be time for a psu upgrade.

Thanks, Nate. I'll give that a try.

You're welcome,

The lights on the gpu should turn white when sufficiently powered.

Give us an update when trying with three separate pcie power cables.
