New build with 790i strix, 13900 cpu. No matter what i do, with or without cpu/memory it doesnt start. No hdmi output, cpu fan starts for a sec and stops (if i tryin to start it with cpu). Led lights (depending on the fps board switch) green or orange. Is it dead?

Have you checked that all power leads (25 pin and probably 2x PCIE) cables are connected properly and fully seated? Check the PSU connections as well if it's modular. Sometimes power leads can be hard to push in properly.

Strange. Maybe check the PSU? Is there any way you could swap it out to eliminate that at least? Does your PSU have any switches for settings? You are getting some power, but maybe not enough. Otherwise I'm not sure. Could be the motherboard, but if it's new then that seems unlikely 😐

Psu is sf750 and it works with old mobo so its not the issue 😕

Hello,

You might actually be experiencing the same issue that I am. try disconnecting all usb devices connected to the motherboard and the case, keyboard, headset, mouse etc. see if that will help it to boot! let me know.

Ive tried to start removing all nvmes and even cpu, though led on the fps board should be red in that case (like cpu error) but the led only depends on the switch position on that fps board - like green in the mid position and orange when it on its start position on the left

I also tried to check what error code the ROG Hive was giving me when it fails to boot, it was red "CPU Error", yet if I disconnect the RGB containing USB devices then I can boot it up with a long press on the power button "1.5-2" seconds press.
