[SOLVED] ASUS Maximus Z790 Hero Unknown Device in Device Manager

I have an Unknown device showing up in Device Manager after a recent reinstallation of Windows 11 and I have not been able to find a driver for it. I've reinstalled all the drivers under the support page and have gone through and reinstalled everything under CHIPSET but still issue persists.

Event viewer shows the following information:

[SOLVED] Reinstalled Windows 11, reinstalled all drivers then found driver under Windows Update > Advanced options > Optional updates > Driver updates. It was listed as Texas Instruments - System.

I don't know what the unknown device could be, but it's strange that your devices are not all grouped correctly by type. For example, the speakers should be under 'Audio Inputs and Outputs' like this:

Do you have any other devices plugged in, either via USB or PCIe?

Have you expanded all of the driver categories on the support page? Also, have a good look at MoKiChU's drivers pages and see if you are missing any drivers:

Thank you both for taking a look and providing helpful information. I decided to do a clean reinstall of Windows 11 again and began going through the list installing drivers. The original unknown device has been replace another.

I suspect that might be your Thunderbolt drivers then, Anyway, good job 👍
