ASUS TUF Gaming Z790-Plus WiFi D4 Motherboard - Fan issues

Hi all,

I am new to ASUS motherboards and generally customised gaming PC's. Last PC was Alienware and was all done for me. My problem is with Fan speed. No matter what I do I can't get the PC quiet enough when just browsing etc.

I have tried Auto tuning via BIOS, got Armoury Crate installed. Tried AI Cooling II etc. But whatever I do, even in Silent mode, fans are still noisy. Not plane taking off noisy, but noisy enough to be distracting and annoying.  Running Win 11.

Any tips and help hugely appreciated. Specs below.

Thanks.

Hello noxx1

For 3-pin fans set to DC mode.

For 4-pin fans set to PWM mode.

Stock fans can be loud, you can swap out the stock fans for quieter ones.

If silent mode is too loud, have you tried manually setting the fans in the bios?

You should be able to set each fan to manual, raise the temp limit and/or set the duty % for each fan.

Hi Nate,

Thanks for the reply. I have resolved my issue by installing and configuring software called "Fan Control". Made my own curves etc.

Bios didn't work
Armourcrate didn't work

Thanks
