ASUS Maximus Z790 Extreme NO AUDIO From Backplane (No Realtek Device Found)
Just finished a new build and I cannot get sound out of the motherboard backplane jack. I've also confirmed that my windows 11 install does not have any acknowledgment of a realtek audio device within the device manager.
I have tried installing all the latest audio drivers as perscribed by the ASUS motherboard website.
Additionally I have tried the recommended driver by MoKiChU on this very forum.
At this point I've run out of ideas and am now seriously considering a defective motherboard.
Any guidance/help would be greatly appreciated.
CPU: Intel Core i9-13900K
MOBO: Asus ROG Maximus Z790 Extreme

Hello,
Have you checked to see if the Realtek Audio controller is enabled in the UEFI? This is within the Onboard Device section.

No such option available.
UEFI Version: 2.22.1286

The Realtek controller is listed as USB Audio, however I see this is enabled. Could you screenshot Device Manager?

When installed, it will appear under Sound, video and game controllers. You have a device there that failed to start. If you disabled USB Audio in the UEFI, does this device disappear?
Redownload the latest UEFI version and use USB Flashback
