Hi:

I was using 5200mhz ram then bought: ADATA XPG Lancer RGB 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5 6000MHz CL40-40-40 White (AX5U6000C4016G-DCLARWH)

after using it for 2 months, I got slight stuttering couldn't find solution yet.

so could it be ram or something else?

if nothing fix it I'll buy another motherboard and new ram.

last question: what's best Asus z790 for ddr5?

Thanks for the help

Try running some memory tests for starters. Not sure if you have you done that. You can use MemTest86 which is available through the BIOS. Could be various causes. In fact, have you updated ME Firmware or the BIOS recently? Are your drivers all up to date? I've had no RAM issues, but mine is slower speed - look at my specs.

Here are my currently installed drivers on the 690 Hero:

OS Windows 11 Pro 22H2 (22621.1194)
BIOS 2204
Intel ME Firmware 16.1.25.2020
Intel Chipset Driver 10.1.19222.8341
Intel Gaussian and Neural Accelerator Driver 3.0.0.1457
Intel I225 LAN Driver 2.1.2.3
Intel Serial IO Software 30.100.2221.20
Intel Thunderbolt Driver 1.41.1340.0
Intel Wi-Fi Driver 22.190.0.4

Realtek Audio Driver 6.3.9600.2347
UCM (USB Connector Manager) Driver 1.2.1.88
Intel Wireless Bluetooth 22.190.0.2
Intel Rapid Storage Technology VMD Controller 19.5.1.1040
Z690 Hero, BIOS 3401, MEI 2406.5.5.0, ME Firmware 16.1.30.2361, 7000X Case, RM1000x PSU, i9 12900K, ASUS TUF OC 3090TI, 2 x 16GB Corsair RAM @ 5200MHz, Windows 11 Pro 23H2, Corsair H150i Elite AIO, 4x Corsair RGB fans, 3x M.2 NVME drives, 2x SATA SSDs, 2x SATA HDs.

I just finished tests using MemTest86: no errors.

I got many errors on Event Viewer:
The description for Event ID 32 from source e2fexpress cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

Intel(R) Ethernet Controller (3) I225-V

The message resource is present but the message was not found in the message table

Have you been through all of your drivers and checked that nothing has been missed? I don't know what e2fexpress is off-hand, but sounds like it could be drivers related. Have a look at my list of drivers above - I try and keep everything pretty much up to date, so that's a good reference list for starters. If you don't have the UCM drivers, they are bundled with MokiChUs thunderbolt drivers pack. Also, download HWInfo and have a look for Windows WHEA errors. If you have a lot of those, there are things we can try there as well.
