No TPM header on Maximus VIII Gene?

Since the word came that Windows 11 requires TPM and I failed the health check I noticed that my CPU doesn't support it. So I'm trying to find out if there is a TPM slot on this motherboard? The manual doesn't mention anything about TPM.

So without me opening all the case up, does anyone have any knowledge to know if this board has a TPM slot?

I used to own one, years ago, and don't remember it being there. I did look through the documentation online and a board picture, and I can't see one.

Have a look in the BIOS for something like this,

Advanced->PCH-FW Configuration
PTT->enabled

If present it might get you through, not sure if will be there however, my board went to heaven long time ago.

This might also be a pathway

I think the issue is the CPU wont be supported, not the TPM. You will ned to read about the hard & soft floors in Windows 11 as see where your CPU lands.

Thank you for replying.

I had a look for that option in the BIOS but it wasn't there.

I'm running a fairly old bios (the one that came with the computer when I bought it - it was a custom build).

Should the option be there no matter what the bios version? Or can updating the bios give me the option?

You could scan through each BIOS notes and see if was added, TPM 2.0 to a BIOS. I didn't read anything suggesting it was.

This offically what is required for windows 11
