Gt-ax11000 - ddns ???

So I go and buy one of the most expensive gaming routers available, and find out it has a small set of (crappy) pre-programmed DDNS providers. Basically, hamstringing me to use the DDNS that *they* want me to use.

I dont want that. I want to use https://freedns.afraid.org/

Can someone explain to me how I can configure the router to use an alternate DDNS service?

Bro, I dont think it can be done as Asus tied up with various DDNS partner for strategy purposes. Please correct me if I am wrong.

https://www.asuswrt-merlin.net/

This is how you can get it done. They have custom commands. Very happy to find this.

Merlin doesn't support the GT-AXE11000 yet.

I am returning mine due to lack of support and other router issues like 6GHz dropping out requiring reboots. This is not a flagship product.

Only reason to buy Asus router ~imo or join/buy pfsence hardware and never go back.

I was hoping since there is SSH access that someone might be able to walkthrough the process
