Graphical artifacts and system freezes

I am the owner of an Asus Rog Zephyrus G16, GU603VV, I7-13620h, RTX4060 laptop. For some time now, when using a geforce graphics card, randomly (sometimes at startup, sometimes after an hour of playing) artifacts appear on the screen (as in the attached photos), the application turns off and the system most often hangs or restarts. All drivers are up to date, reinstalling Windows did not help. Additionally, sometimes I get a BSOD indicating a problem with the Watchdog service. I suspect that the dedicated graphics card may be damaged. Has anyone encountered such a situation?

A little update. Today I connected the laptop to an external monitor via HDMI and then USB C, and in both cases the problem with artifacts appeared. Is this a sign of a damaged dGPU?

Hello,

I have the same model and I’ve been having the same problems too!! I still haven’t found a solution yet!

Hi @TomAsh80 @Jem ,

Have you updated your BIOS to the latest version 313 and tested with ASUS-certified NVIDIA Graphic Driver Version V31.0.15.3168 and Intel Graphic Driver Version V31.0.101.4502 to see if there's any improvement? Thank you.

BIOS on version 313, drivers as you suggested, fresh Win 11 installation. As soon as I start using the RTX 4060 card, the artifacts appear at irregular intervals and the system freezes. Any other suggestions?

Hi @TomAsh80 ,

Thank you for your reply.
Please try using Nvidia graphics driver version V31.0.15.4624 to see if the issue improves. If the problem persists, we recommend sending your laptop to the local service center for further hardware diagnostics to identify the cause. Thank you.

This is AMD graphics driver and I have RTX 4060.

Hi @TomAsh80 ,

Sorry for providing the wrong link. Please download the Nvidia graphics card driver version V31.0.15.4624 from this link for testing. Thank you.

Changing drivers to v31.0.15.4624  did not change anything. So I guess the problem is hardware. The only thing left is to send it to the service center.
