I bought all parts brand new. Fitted them in and my PC was running well for about 3 hours of installs, restarts and gameplay. After the 3 hour mark, my PC crashed and never recognised my GUP in the top PCIE slot again. Tested out the bottom slot and everything was working as intended, so I concluded that the top slot was faulty and got a new exact same motherboard.
Wiped everything to start fresh on the new motherboard. This time from the first boot the GPU/Riser cable was not detected ( VGA light). I concluded that the there is no peices faulty and just some system compatibility issues or some settings are incorrect in BIOS.
I am currently using the bottom PCIE slot, hoping to resolve this issue as I want to keep this motherboard as it looks most pleaseing to me.
I have been unsuccesssful in getting the GPU/Riser to work in the top slot by attempting the following:
1. Update BIOS
2. Remove all storage and turned on
3. Remove RAM
4. In BIOS tried with PCIE slot to auto then gen 3 then gen 4
5. In BIOS tested with Safe Boot on and off
All of these tests resulted in same outcome where the GPU/Riser is not recognised and the VGA light is on(white light). I know the peices are not faulty or broken, as they are working fine in the lower slot. Bit confused on what could be wrong and cant seem to find a proper answer anywhere online.
Would love to run accross anyone who had the same issue and found a solution.
