ASUS ROG MacroKey - Introduction

Introduction

ASUS ROG MacroKey is a macro, key remapper, and automation utility designed to work specifically with ROG gaming notebooks. Users can customize,add,rename and import profiles with instructions into macro keys thru the ASUS ROG MacroKey application.

 

Launch ASUS ROG MacroKey

There are two ways to launch ASUS ROG MacroKey software.

1.  By selecting the link on taskbar or double clicking the ROG MacroKey app on your Windows Desktop

2.   On the ASUS Gaming Center application, you can access a specific card named ASUS ROG MacroKey which allows the user to know which gaming profile is currently being used. When the user clicks this card icon, the ASUS ROG MacroKey software will be launched.

 

Key Features--Manage profiles easily and simply.

 ROG MacroKeys(i.e. m1,m2,m3) are designed to allow users to set different modes: Macro, Launch APP, and Website. 

The corresponding keys(m1/m2/m3)  may be assigned to customized positions on the keyboard

 

Profile List Management-- You can add,rename,and delete profiles.(Note: Each profile includes a group of key (m1/m2/m3) settings. The  indicates that a setting is currently applied)

 

Macro Mode : Record customized instructions for your game

  • Add a profile1 and setting m1/m2/m3.
  • If you want to set the m1 to Macro Mode, please click on the m1 button then click Macro icon.
  • Press the Start Recording button and select the desired key combination. Stop the recording when you complete your key combination.
  • Click the Apply button and Waiting Process Bar will appear. When the Process Bar disappears, your customized instructions will now be set in the MacroKey.
  • If you want to add more instructions,mouse click the instruction currently listed where you want to insert new instructions. If you want to modify the Delay Time, you can click the intended instruction, then input the desired time.

 

Launch APP Mode : Assign frequently used apps for quick launching. 

 

Select one app which you want to launch, then select Save and Apply.

 

Open Website Mode : Input URLs here to rapidly navigate to favorite websites.
