Hardware requirements (AMD - sTRX4) : ASUS ROG/PRIME motherboards with AMD TRX40 chipset.
Hardware requirements (Intel) : ASUS ROG motherboards with Intel 5xx/6xx/7xx/8xx series chipsets with ALC40xx codec.

Note : In order to know which drivers package to use, match the audio specifications of your motherboard with the apps or ask me.

TIPS :

If you want to manage the drivers (remove old/unused drivers for example) that you have in your Windows DriverStore
Use Driver Store Explorer (Right click on "Rapr.exe" > Run as administrator).

If you want better interrupts delivery latency
Enable MSI (Message Signaled-based Interrupts) mode on all your supported devices (see the column "supported modes") with
MSI Mode Utility (Right click on "MSI_Mode_Utility_v3.exe" > Run as administrator).

If you experience crackling, popping, audio stutter
Disable hibernation (Fast Startup included).

So for THOSE who have problems with ALC 4080/2 Z690/Z790/Refreshed or similar codec that your MIC don't work or BOOST not work too (10+ 20+ 30+) if you try install drivers through asus.rog site it won't work ...

You NEED to download through ArmouryCrate software It is driver from 2023.10 BUT it will work.. after restart Mic boost is working

Asus maybe.. maybe will update drivers before 15th gen 😛

Edit: i searched about 2-3days what cause issue.. seems if you install RealtekDriver manually it drops error on DeviceManager device has problem starting.  (passthruapp) makes it to work somehow aka ArmouryCrate Thing.

Thank me later 😄

Does this work for sound drivers realtek in general? I have a z790-h & equalizers ss3 and stuff dont work for it. I was manually downloading from site not armourycrate. Installed armoury and nothing about sound/audio software is in it.

Thats why i waiting for asus step to update drivers.
This is fix for MIC boost i don’t know how SS3 is affected.
Try it through armoury crate. Just install realtek driver from asus app.

yup still doesn't work...even firefx's suggestion SS-DTS drivers which i assume is this  Realtek USB Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS-DTS) doesn't work.. I would love it if you I could literally show you guys the issue thru discord

Thank you, can confirm this sorted the issue, guess no updating audio drivers anymore, whatever was causing the mic boost bug

Hi,

You are in the wrong thread.

You have an ASUS ROG SS3|DTS Sound Unbound motherboard without ALC408x codec, so :

You need Realtek Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3-DTS) from the first post of this thread : [DRIVERS] Realtek Audio (AMD 3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx & Intel 2xx/3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx/7xx).

Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow your UPDATE process.

Tried this just now You need Realtek Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3-DTS) from the first post of this thread : [DRIVERS] Realtek Audio (AMD 3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx & Intel 2xx/3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx/7xx).

and it didn't work for EQ

IMO having to use mic boost so anyone can hear you is a bug on it's own. You should not need to use that at all, but what can you do

50/50 my mic SS Nova 1 have low microphone out of the box..
