OS requirements : Windows 10 64 bit or more recent.
Hardware requirements (AMD) : ASUS ROG/TUF/PRIME motherboards with AMD 3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx series chipsets (except ROG with ALC40xx).
Hardware requirements (Intel) : ASUS ROG/TUF/PRIME motherboards with Intel 2xx/3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx/7xx series chipsets (except ROG with ALC40xx).

Note : In order to know which drivers package to use, match the audio specifications of your motherboard with the apps or ask me.

TIPS :

If you want to manage the drivers (remove old/unused drivers for example) that you have in your Windows DriverStore
Use Driver Store Explorer (Right click on "Rapr.exe" > Run as administrator).

If you want better interrupts delivery latency
Enable MSI (Message Signaled-based Interrupts) mode on all your supported devices (see the column "supported modes") with
MSI Mode Utility (Right click on "MSI_Mode_Utility_v3.exe" > Run as administrator).

If you experience crackling, popping, audio stutter
Disable hibernation (Fast Startup included).

No difference in sound as always. Bigger number is enough to make me download it, I'm honest at least

I guess when people convince themselves of something there's no going back.

Thread, post & drivers package updated.

Hi mokichu, what can I do to avoid installing asio?

Hi mokichu, what can I do to avoid installing asio? (With your package obviously, I could with pal1000 but there's no reason to use that with my motherboard)

@ MoKiChU

Please excuse my possibly stupid question, but why are there so many differing packages?

I do not understand the primer to work out which set I should download and follow the uninstall & install routine for...?

Maximus xiii hero as per my specs...
with regards from Australia

Hi,

You have an ASUS ROG SS3|DTS Sound Unbound motherboard with ALC408x codec, so :

You need Realtek USB Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3-DTS MB) from the first post of this thread : [DRIVERS] Realtek USB Audio (MB | Intel 5xx/6xx & AMD 5xx/6xx/TRX40).

Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow your UPDATE process.

Hi MoKiChU,

I recently bought a Tuf Z690 motherboard and the sound was crap. I was thinking about getting a separate sound card until I found this thread. The sound is much better now thanks to you. Awesome work MoKiChU.

Thank you so much

UPDATE: I got the Realtek USB Drivers (Different thread) installed thanks to MoKiChU... See a couple comments below. Also, I solved my Atmos problem. As I am using HDMI out from my video card, so the motherboard drivers don't really matter. My Atmos problem had nothing to do with my drivers, though. Atmos wasn't working because my receiver was accidentally set to output stereo on the input used for my computer. Doh! 😛

--------

Which package should I use for an ROG Z690 Formula?

Also, Im using the HDMI port on my ASUS ROG STRIX RTX 3080ti to send video and audio to my Denon AVR-x4300h. No matter what I do to enable Dolby Atmos, the receiver always reverts to stereo. The same video card and HDMI cable sent Atmos just fine on my old 9th gen Intel system. I just upgraded to this Intel 12th gen system this past week. I have Dolby Access installed, but settings says ‘Enable Dolby Atmos to access audio settings’ even though Atmos for home theater is already selected in the sound settings.

Finally, since Im using the video cards HDMI to send audio, do the motherboard audio drivers really even matter?

Thanks
