OS requirements : Windows 10 64 bit or more recent.
Hardware requirements (AMD) : ASUS ROG/TUF/PRIME motherboards with AMD 3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx series chipsets (except ROG with ALC408x).
Hardware requirements (Intel) : ASUS ROG/TUF/PRIME motherboards with Intel 2xx/3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx/7xx series chipsets (except ROG with ALC408x).

Note : In order to know which drivers package to use, match the audio specifications of your motherboard with the apps or ask me.

TIPS :

If you want to manage the drivers (remove old/unused drivers for example) that you have in your Windows DriverStore
Use Driver Store Explorer (Right click on "Rapr.exe" > Run as administrator).

If you want better interrupts delivery latency
Enable MSI (Message Signaled-based Interrupts) mode on all your supported devices (see the column "supported modes") with
MSI Mode Utility (Right click on "MSI_Mode_Utility_v3.exe" > Run as administrator).

If you experience crackling, popping, audio stutter
Disable hibernation (Fast Startup included).

Thank you so much! Have been messing with drivers for days and this worked perfectly.

When i ran SS3 i got an error that either the hardware was not supported or the drivers were not installed correctly. After updating the drivers manually via Device Manager/Have disk option, SS3 worked fine. So if anyone else has a similar error message with SS3 or SR3 after installing the package, try the above suggestion by updating the drivers via DM and choose the "Have disk" option and point it to the unzipped drivers [e.g., "C:/Realtek UAD generic v6.0.8924.1\Win64\Realtek\Codec_8924.1\HDXASUS.inf". Do not choose the "HDXASUSTC.inf" file for a Z390 mobo, it is not the correct inf file for the ALC1220 audio chip, It's for hardware ID "10EC&DEV_1168".

loving the drivers keep up the good work. this man deserves appreciation

Hello I hope you are doing well. I have the ROG Maximus X Hero WIFI AC mobo, which realtek audio driver would work for me?

Thank you

Me, i'll just re-enable that setting when they push the "fixed" version. I'd rather stay up to date with my security fixes. Besides for me, changing that settings was less than 2 minutes of work. As to 20H1, i'll wait for it to get pushed. Not grabbing that manually.

I've also have the Z370-E and looking at the spec of the board https://www.asus.com/uk/Motherboards/ROG-STRIX-Z370-E-GAMING/specifications/ it uses SS3.

After having many failed attempts with various drivers I came across this post, thank you 🙂
I followed the instructions to the letter from the ASUS ROG SS3 motherboards section but I couldn't get my version of Windows W10 Pro (x64 Version 1909 OS build 18363.836) to detect the Realtek output. I tried numerous times and was about to give up when I thought to try ASUS ROG SS3|DTS Sound Unbound motherboards.

Following these instructions I could get the Realtek output to detect even though I didn't think this was for my board? (not sure what unbound means)

The only issue I have now...
When I connect something to the front panel audio this takes preference over the speakers connected in the rear and I also do not have an option for Front panel audio is sound settings, that would allow me to swap between front and rear connections. I am also unable to download the Realtek software from the MS store, it gives an error 'Something unexpected happened' Code: 0x803FB005

Any ideas would be greatfully appreciated.

Thanks again for all your hard work.

Hi,

The ASUS ROG Strix Z370-E Gaming need Realtek Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG/PRIME/TUF) from this thread with the ASUS ROG SS3 motherboards category.

Follow scrupulously your INSTALL process with cleanup step, but this time to prevent Windows Update from generating a drivers install conflict, disable your Internet connection from the start of the CLEANUP process until the end of drivers install of the INSTALL process (after the restart). For the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow the UPDATE process.

@MoKiChU,

Thanks for taking the time to reply. It's all up and running as expected 😄
Disabling the internet connection must be the trick, as I couldn't get the S3 package to work previously.

Thanks for the help and advice.
