OS requirements : Windows 10 64 bit or more recent.
Hardware requirements (AMD) : ASUS ROG/TUF/PRIME motherboards with AMD 3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx series chipsets (except ROG with ALC408x).
Hardware requirements (Intel) : ASUS ROG/TUF/PRIME motherboards with Intel 2xx/3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx/7xx series chipsets (except ROG with ALC408x).

Note : In order to know which drivers package to use, match the audio specifications of your motherboard with the apps or ask me.

TIPS :

If you want to manage the drivers (remove old/unused drivers for example) that you have in your Windows DriverStore
Use Driver Store Explorer (Right click on "Rapr.exe" > Run as administrator).

If you want better interrupts delivery latency
Enable MSI (Message Signaled-based Interrupts) mode on all your supported devices (see the column "supported modes") with
MSI Mode Utility (Right click on "MSI_Mode_Utility_v3.exe" > Run as administrator).

If you experience crackling, popping, audio stutter
Disable hibernation (Fast Startup included).

Hi,

You have an ASUS TUF DTS Audio Processing motherboard, so :

You need Realtek Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS TUF/PRIME DTS AP) from the first post of this thread.

Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow your UPDATE process.

TUF X570-PLUS DTS Custom
I am so glad I found this thread. I got through the install and update for my motherboard (thanks for the great instructions). I am trying to figure out an audio issue.

I have my rear audio I/O ports connected with 3.5mm to RCA jacks going to my Onkyo receiver in the multichannel inputs. In the Realtek Audio Console I have it set to 7.1 Speaker and have verified that the test sound plays correctly for each and every speaker. I also ran the same test in the windows sound settings and it also plays the test sound through each and every speaker.

So I have confirmed by playing the test that all the speakers are connected properly. They all played the test sounds fine.

Now, when I play any media it will only play out of the front right and front left speakers. I tried youtube, pandora, spotify and I even downloaded some 7.1 media files to make sure that the content was more than just 2 channel. Only the front right and front left speakers played anything. I also tried clicking on individual speakers for the test sound while the 7.1 media was playing and they were all playing the test sound as expected, but audio from the media still continued to play just from the 2 speakers.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Shawn

Hi,

You are in the wrong thread.

You have an ASUS ROG SS3|DTS Sound Unbound motherboard with ALC408x codec, so :

You need Realtek USB Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3-DTS) from the first post of this thread : [DRIVERS] Realtek USB Audio (Intel 5xx/6xx/7xx & AMD 5xx/6xx/TRX40).

Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow your UPDATE process.

Hi,

You have an ASUS TUF DTS Custom motherboard, so :

Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow your UPDATE process.

Note : Your motherboard built-in audio controller/licence can only :

- SPDIF port : Output only Stereo PCM, so no 5.1/7.1 PCM (uncompressed) or 5.1/7.1 DTS/Dolby (compressed).
- 3.5mm jack port : Output only PCM (stereo or multichannel), so no 5.1/7.1 DTS/Dolby.
- Channel Upmix / Surround : No upmix (so whether the audio content is in stereo PCM or in 5.1/7.1 DTS/Dolby, it will be played in stereo and not upmixed in 5.1/7.1, only audio content in 5.1/7.1 PCM will be played in 5.1/7.1), however your Onkyo audio equipment should be able to do the upmix processing on its side (Stereo PCM to 5.1/7.1).

But in your case, if your audio equipment is DTS:X or Dolby Atmos compatible, I would advise you not to use the built-in motherboard audio controller for your Onkyo audio equipment, and go through the HDMI port of your iGPU or your GPU with DTS Sound Unbound or Dolby Access.

Thanks for the reply. I see what you are saying. I went to https://www.jensign.com/bdp95/7dot1voiced/index.html and he has a 7.1 PCM file that I tested and it does play through all the channels. Unfortunately my Onkyo receiver is too old to accept audio over HDMI so I am stuck going this route. Is there any software or setting that will make my PC convert all audio to 7.1 PCM before sending it to the receiver?

I have an Asus Prime A z690 motherboard. I have struggled to get realtek working on my system. I followed instruction for "Realtek Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS TUF/PRIME DTSX Ultra). Looked like it would work but in the end, I got the " can not connect to RPC service when I tried to open realtek audio console.

Did I follow the correct set of instructions?

I should have added that I am running Windows 11 22h2. Also the DTS Ultra app worked -- which it never did before. Just the Audio Console that won't connect to RPC service.

Hi,

You have an ASUS PRIME DTS:X Ultra motherboard, so :

You need Realtek Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS TUF/PRIME DTSX Ultra) from the first post of this thread.

Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow your UPDATE process.

If your "Can not connect to RPC service" issue persists :

- Press Windows key + X > Task Manager :

- Startup tab : Check that Realtek HD Audio Universal Service is Enabled.
- Services tab : Check that DcomLaunch, RpcEptMapper & RtkAudioUniversalService services running.

- Right click on your Realtek Audio Control/Console app icon > App settings > Reset
- Restart your PC.

Realtek was not enabled in the start up apps. Enabling it fixed it.

Thank you. This has been a long term battle and I can't tell you how much I appreciated having it work.
