OS requirements : Windows 10 64 bit or more recent.
Hardware requirements (AMD) : ASUS ROG/TUF/PRIME motherboards with AMD 3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx/8xx series chipsets (except ROG with ALC40xx).
Hardware requirements (Intel) : ASUS ROG/TUF/PRIME motherboards with Intel 2xx/3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx/7xx/8xx series chipsets (except ROG with ALC40xx).

Note : In order to know which drivers package to use, match the audio specifications of your motherboard with the apps or ask me.

TIPS :

If you want to manage the drivers (remove old/unused drivers for example) that you have in your Windows DriverStore
Use Driver Store Explorer (Right click on "Rapr.exe" > Run as administrator).

If you want better interrupts delivery latency
Enable MSI (Message Signaled-based Interrupts) mode on all your supported devices (see the column "supported modes") with
MSI Mode Utility (Right click on "MSI_Mode_Utility_v3.exe" > Run as administrator).

If you experience crackling, popping, audio stutter
Disable hibernation (Fast Startup included).

"SS3" stands for Sonic Studio 3, right?

Hi,

Yes, SS3 = Sonic Studio III, absolutely.

My board prior to STRIX Z390-F was a Asus Pro Gaming Z170 which only had CP, no SS. Was there as SS2 at some point?

The ASUS Z170 PRO GAMING need Realtek Audio Drivers (HDA - ASUS ROG SSx) from my HDA drivers thread with the ASUS ROG SS1/SS2 motherboards category.

SteverinoLA wrote:
And I notice that this thread applies to new Z490 boards. Is SS3 tied to the Realtek codec chip? Is there a SS4 out there or not until there's a codec chip newer than S1220 (I think)?

No there will be nothing more (like SS4 or new Realtek Codec chipset) than there is displayed on the thread. The ASUS ROG Maximus/Strix Z490 motherboards will be ASUS ROG SS3|DTS Sound Unbound motherboards.

Which driver do I need for a Asus Prime X299-DELUXE board?

Hi,

You need Realtek Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG/PRIME/TUF) from this thread. Follow scrupulously your INSTALL process with cleanup step, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow the UPDATE process.

Note (in order to choose correctly the install/update process to use) : You have a ASUS PRIME DTS Headphone:X v1 motherboard.

Fix for Realtek Audio Console (uwp)
This microfix reinitialise realtek UAD service with correct permissions and fix RPC/not respond console issue (win 10 1903++ x64)
Fix do not apply any permanent changes to system (If problems with console appear again - just run fix)

Hi,

This is a mistake from the tool you are using, it refers to the latest driver DTS Custom HSA SWC Driver which is not for the drivers package you quote.

You just proved that you should not trust this kind of tool and I do not recommend using them (at least if you care about the stability of your system).

no new update for DTS AP HSA SoftwareComponent Driver in 2022? after v1.10.1.0?

This might have been discussed elsewhere in the thread, and if so I apologize, but are these drivers more up to date than the ones downloaded from the motherboard support page?

If so, for my ROG Strix X570-I Gaming board, I would use the following drivers, correct?

Realtek Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3 MB) :
Drivers : 6.0.9341.1 WHQL [19/04/2022]

Finally, I used to have just the Realtek Audio Control app installed without any of the addons (SS3, SR, DTS). Unfortunately I'm having to reinstall windows, and I can't figure out how I managed to get *only* the Realtek app with it's build in EQ tools to work, since all of the installers I can find now include the extras which make changing EQ highly annoying.

Is it possible to install just the Realtek app alone, and if so how might I go about it?

Thanks in advance, just trying to do things correctly this time since I already managed to kill one windows install with failed audio driver installs!

nothing new released after v9360 in last 1 month appx?

update to OP with latest 9374.1
