Install/Update Process :

Launch "Install.cmd" by right-click Run as admin > Automatic restart when install is done

- Intel SATA AHCI-RAID Drivers (Drivers Only) :

Drivers - 4xx/5xx : 18.37.7.1013 WHQL [06/02/2023]
Drivers - 2xx/3xx : 17.11.3.1010 WHQL [25/11/2022]
Drivers - 1xx : 16.8.5.1014 WHQL [13/12/2022]

Install/Update Process :

- Press Windows key + X > Device Manager > Right-click on your Intel SATA device > Update driver > Browse my computer for driver software
- Browse... > Select the extracted drivers folder (SATA_AHCI-RAID_Intel_v...) > Next

OS requirements : Windows 10 64 bit or more recent.
Hardware requirements : Motherboards with Intel 1xx/2xx/3xx/4xx/5xx series chipsets (except Intel X299 chipset).

TIPS :

If you want to manage the drivers (remove old/unused drivers for example) that you have in your Windows DriverStore
Use Driver Store Explorer (Right click on "Rapr.exe" > Run as administrator).

If you want better interrupts delivery latency
Enable MSI (Message Signaled-based Interrupts) mode on all your supported devices (see the column "supported modes") with
MSI Mode Utility (Right click on "MSI_Mode_Utility_v3.exe" > Run as administrator).

Yes, for all motherboards with Intel 1xx/2xx/3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx/7xx series chipsets except motherboards with Intel X299 chipset which have a dedicated thread as indicated previously :

Hi,

I have the Asus Maximus IX Hero (Z270) with Windows 11 Pro, and during the install of the chipset drivers I get a pop up that a tmp file is not a valid win32 application (the tmp filename is different every time I try). Any ideas what I may be doing wrong?

Intel MEI Drivers :

In order to avoid any side effects (especially with Windows 11 & TPM), I do not recommend avoiding the Intel MEI Drivers installation like you do (Intel ME Firmware & Intel MEI Drivers work in tandem).

The Intel MEI Drivers that I offer are the compromise between avoiding the Intel MEI Drivers installation like you do, and installing them via the Intel MEI Drivers & Software Package from your motherboard support page :

- Drivers Package (Drivers Only) that I offer contains Intel MEI Driver and only the imposed DAL, ICLS & WMI SWC Drivers (If you don't install the imposed SWC Drivers, Windows Update will install them for you, with probably older versions, because the install order of these SWC Drivers is initied/imposed by Intel MEI Driver itself).

- Drivers & Software Package from your motherboard support page contains Intel MEI Driver and all the imposed SWC Drivers (DAL, ICLS & WMI) but also 2 SWC Drivers & 1 Ext Drivers optional and unnecessary for most consumer users (SOL & WIMAN Ext+SWC).

ROG Motherboards with Intel Z690 chipset :

- If you are using BIOS 2103 (built around the Intel ME firmware v16.1.25.1885) : You can update your Intel ME firmware to v16.1.25.2020.

- If you want to install BIOS 2201 RC (built around the Intel ME firmware v16.1.25.2020) : You must update your Intel ME firmware to v16.1.25.2020.

ROG Motherboards with Intel Z790 chipset :

- If you are using BIOS 0502 (built around the Intel ME firmware v16.1.25.1917) : You can update your Intel ME firmware to v16.1.25.2020.

- If you want to install BIOS 0703 or BIOS 0801 RC (built around the Intel ME firmware v16.1.25.2020) : You must update your Intel ME firmware to v16.1.25.2020.

Just an issue though and sorry that I wasnt clear before but I'm using a MSI Unify Z690 motherboard with the latest bios, what firmware should I use in this case? I didn't know the firmware version was so tied to the bios-motherboard version too, is the driver like that as well?

I don't work for ASUS, but sorry I won't talk about competitors products on the ROG forum.

Regarding the drivers, simply use the latest ones, they are backwards compatible.

where do I get the bios version 2201 RC ? (for z690 Hero)
