ill use this thread to collect some new test bioses for the boards, maybe also to explain some less understood options

to disable cores ccd go here and choose ccd xx bit map down core.
each ones stand for an enabled core
best to disable from the back, ie:
110000
instead of 0011000
after selection press downcore apply changes or discard if made mistake

explanation of segment2 Loadline:

dualseg.jpg

customize a heterogenous loadline for a dual segment workload range.

example above shows loadline=L6 when current is in range of 0~40A, and Level4 when current is above 40A.

Adds for x3d

dynamic ccd priority switch with core flex, os / driver agnostic so win10 win11 ok

97403

97404

Algo as follows:
If condition reached and ccd0 specified, then check current mem/cache activity > threshold and hysteresis reached, if fulfilled then switch
If condition reached and ccd1 specified, then check current mem/cache activity <=threshold and hysteresis reached,, if fulfilled then switch
Default hysteresis =4

Can combine multiple algos for ccd priority so combinations are wide

works on non x3d too but of course senseless on it. detailed explanation here.

While this may be true the problem is I've tested my board ( ProArt) and other X670 boards from Asus in Linux without a GPU even present (not installed in the system) So there are no GPU drivers except for the IGPU in the CPU, also I did not install sound or network drivers, just the bare minimum with default BIOS settings (no PBO/EXPO or overclock) and the system fails to reboot in these conditions, infinite memory training.

Forget about sleep/hibernation, we need reboot to work properly.

Asus X670E-Extreme
CPU 7800x3d
G Skill F5-6000J3038F16G (2x16Gb) (QVL)
GPU Asus RTX3080
Windows 11 Pro with the latest updates and disabled settings for sleep mode and hibernation (max power for maximum performance).
Latest stable bios 2204 (but it does not change even with the 2124).
Latest chipset drivers directly from AMD 6.07.22.037.
Activated EXPO Tweaked profile and also tested the other available Expo profiles.
Power down and MCR enabled.
Tested with automatic soc voltage, 1.250v, 1.200v (with the voltage set to 1.200v never had problems before).
Tried with the PC connected to the electrical outlet directly, then to a protected electrical outlet and finally to a Cyberpower UPS.
I read about afterburner. I have the latest stable version and everything worked fine until the last two or three stable bios.
If you simply reboot the PC from Windows the system freezes on the memory test and does not go forward. All you have to do is hold down the button on the case and brutally turn off the system, then it starts normally.
The only times that the reboot does not block is when you install the updates from Windows and a reboot is requested. In that case it restarts normally after the various steps of the update.
I do not remember exactly which version of the bios this problem started from, I have always used stable versions and if I have to hazard a guess, it all started from bios 2007.
This is my only problem. Never had system freezes, blue screens or anything else, the PC works perfectly except when I want to reboot the system.

Hi Crisgen,

same pb as you and some others, CTX PWD both enable, try all i can and all i've found, unable to use my 4x32Gb UDIMM-ECC at their jedec speed (no xmp, no doc, no expo for those RAM...)4800MHz. @3600max for 4 banks.

tried before with 2x32Gb non ecc, 6800MHz-1.45V, @4800 unable to run at this speed, only 4800MHz for those.

On the ProArt, manual value for DDR VDDQ seems have an impact on iGPU VCore and CPU VCore,

Reboot troubles too, cold boot ok, but all others KO except on windows updates (why?),I must hit the Power switch to power down, and power on again to avoid windows whea and nvdia operation driver error;

CPU vsoc dancing a lot, 1.045 all time before during my first tests, and after a bios update, fall  to 0.932 and stay between 0.921 and 0.987. I rollback some times, but no changes anymore now, don't understand why it has change like this (change with LLC setting) and why it won't come back to his previous value when i reinstall the previous bios.

I'd like to fix this value to improve system stability, but i don't know wich value i can use now ,and which one could be safe and stable for the system at all  (sound crackling sometimes when the boot was not good).

c-states both enable, S5 resume usb too,...all workaround for the same troubles i have found

Waiting for new bios now, and hope it can fix some things for me (sound, reboots, ), i desperate to run this little thing at 100% of its capacity, and stability. I feel it can make better.

Interested by the new epyc AM5 4584PX and very curious of its full specs and performances. If someone have some info on this.

Good day.

ROG CROSSHAIR X670E HERO, BIOS 2204 (latest stable).
7950X, 2x32Gb ADATA AX5U6400C3232G-DCLABK (64Gb kit), Samsung 990 Pro 2Tb, MSI Suprim RTX 4090.

Windows 11 Pro for Workstations 23H2 (22631)

I have set the EXPO Tweaked and additionally duplicated the timings that were specified in the SPD EXPO profile:
- tCL, tRCD, tRP, tRAS
- tRC, tRFC1, tRFC2, tRFCSB,
- DIV1 UCLK=MEMCLK, MCR+PowerDown Enabled.

eCLK Synchronous mode
FCLK 2000Mhz
CPU Core Voltage Auto
CPU SOC Voltage 1.23
CPU VDDIO / MC - 1.4 (EXPO 1.4V)
MISC - 1.1
VDDP 1.03
DRAM VDD and VDDQ 1.4 (EXPO 1.4V)

The system is super-stable.
Sleep-wake, hibernation, and reboot functions are all working.
No problems at all.

But before this, I had a double memory kit in this same system (2x16Gb and two of such kits) totaling 4 sticks of 16Gb each. It's a TeamGroup at 7200Mhz for which I manually set the timings, voltage, and everything else. Everything was fine at the time of purchase, but with each subsequent BIOS update, it got worse and worse. I had to increase the timings, lower the frequency, raise the voltage. There were issues with sleep mode, hibernation, standby mode. Unexpected freezes when exiting standby mode (when the system simply turns off the monitor but does not go to sleep). Eventually, after another BIOS update, they refused to work even at 6000Mhz CL50. I decided it would be easier to get memory with an EXPO profile than to struggle with manual tuning. And now I have an incredibly stable system. Everything works and there are none of the problems I mentioned above (which resemble what is being discussed here).

Perhaps the issue is specifically in the memory configuration.
