ill use this thread to collect some new test bioses for the boards, maybe also to explain some less understood options

to disable cores ccd go here and choose ccd xx bit map down core.
each ones stand for an enabled core
best to disable from the back, ie:
110000
instead of 0011000
after selection press downcore apply changes or discard if made mistake

for crosshair and strix e-e:

explanation of segment2 Loadline:

dualseg.jpg

customize a heterogenous loadline for a dual segment workload range.

example above shows loadline=L6 when current is in range of 0~40A, and Level4 when current is above 40A.

Adds for x3d

dynamic ccd priority switch with core flex, os / driver agnostic so win10 win11 ok

97403

97404

Algo as follows:
If condition reached and ccd0 specified, then check current mem/cache activity > threshold and hysteresis reached, if fulfilled then switch
If condition reached and ccd1 specified, then check current mem/cache activity <=threshold and hysteresis reached,, if fulfilled then switch
Default hysteresis =4

Can combine multiple algos for ccd priority so combinations are wide

works on non x3d too but of course senseless on it. detailed explanation here.

Is this the version of the BIOS where updating the EC version is fixed?

Hello, thanks for the new release.

unfortunatly, even with just 2 stick of ram, boot loop, worst than ever, unable to reach OS. I was able to start the os when i power on the psu and start from far, but no luck here...

Actively triying to rollback...Success, Thank you CrashFree. proart670, bios 2007, same params, and Boot success to win. There is really something i don't understand...

Have to retry with 4 stick, and try my 2xT705, but to run them at low speed and conflict with gpu, perhaps better use à sata ssd...Lost again...

Bye

The problem with random X670E-F (CPU: 7900X3D, GPU: RX 7900 XT) reboots on idle remains on BIOS 2403, my PC couldn't even survive for half an hour just idling on desktop.😑 Rolling back to 2007 "works" again, but without allowing my display to stand by.

A few months ago I ran into another issue with PCIe channels being dropped, and found some forum post where this is fixed by disabling ASPM. Seems to be working so far.

Rant:

...but this is literal insanity: you buy a 500€ board, and it doesn't work like it's supposed to. I don't even know how is this legal. This level of neglect towards customers is just not normal. I know this probably isn't an engineering problem, because engineers usually want to fix stuff, but there is probably some middle manager twit gleefully looking at his sheet because he saved the company 2c per board.

What they keep forgetting that this will be the last ASUS board ever for a lot of people here, and since people coming here are usually more knowledgeable than the average joe and get asked for advice, that's probably dozens (if not hundreds) of lost customers per rant. Especially if it's true that the X670 series is nearing the end of support without all these issues getting fixed.

I've experienced random reboots (1-2/week) when used qbittorrent regardless bios version. Now I run (all the time) ktorrent, and computer have stopped doing this (longest uptime 42 days before manual reboot).

Extreme, 7950x, 128 gb RAM at 4800.

I want to share some findings and experiences using BIOS 3035 and 3040 (beta) on the ROG B650E-F WIFI motherboard.

1.- I use XPG Lancer DDR5 6400 memory and it works without problem with my Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor with EXPO I, EXPO II and EXPO Tweaked, but using a Ryzen 7 9700X it does not pass the stability tests in y-cruncher and I have to lower the memory frequency to 6200. I also noticed that when using the EXPO Tweaked profile together with the 9700X, there is no performance improvement or at least not noticeable in RAM latency.
2.- In the first installation of the 9700X processor and enabling the EXPO I profile (DDR5 6400), I noticed that the UCLK is divided in 1600 and I have to manually enable UCLK=MEMCLK.
3.- I don't remember since when I have been suffering problems with the sleep mode when trying to wake up the PC. I had to send my 7800X3D processor to RMA, since I literally changed all the parts and got the same result. At the moment I am using the 9700X processor on my ROG B650E-F board and I have not had any problems with sleep mode.
