to disable cores ccd go here and choose ccd xx bit map down core.
each ones stand for an enabled core
best to disable from the back, ie:
110000
instead of 0011000
after selection press downcore apply changes or discard if made mistake

example above shows loadline=L6 when current is in range of 0~40A, and Level4 when current is above 40A.

Algo as follows:
If condition reached and ccd0 specified, then check current mem/cache activity > threshold and hysteresis reached, if fulfilled then switch
If condition reached and ccd1 specified, then check current mem/cache activity <=threshold and hysteresis reached,, if fulfilled then switch
Default hysteresis =4

Can combine multiple algos for ccd priority so combinations are wide

Since BIOS 1709, I've had instability. But talking through all the problems I've had with this board with a friend, I realized that maybe it was a different issue... Because now virtually all my crashes are related to the GPU... Which could indicate a GPU or PSU issue

Long story short, one of the first things I tried ended up being the fix. I unplugged the 12-pin power connector to see if anything was wrong (I saw no visible issues), plugged in back in... and my box has been solid as a rock. I've been doing a lot of gaming lately, stress tests, all kinds of stuff. I haven't been able to get it to crash.

The cable was never pressed up against the case. I don't do anything that jostles the cable. I've been building computers for ~25 years and this issue still snuck up on me.

I have 2 points:

1. If you're seeing instability... There's a chance that it's not necessarily related to your board/BIOS.
2. These 12-pin GPU power connectors are really just trash.

This isn't directed to anyone in particular, and hopefully this helps someone.

With that said, 2101 seems to be pretty stable for me now that I've fixed my GPU issue.

Oh and one more thing...  The USB controllers on these boards really seem to be not great. When I do long  intensive IO tasks, usually it stops working within a few hours (it could stop completely, or maybe the speed is too slow to continue, etc)... and I have to unmount the drive, and remount it.... Often even a reboot is necessary. I also had the exact same problem with my previous build which used a Crosshair viii extreme (x570 chipset) board. But no issues on the Intel board before and none on an ARM SBC board I'm currently using to perform this regular monthly task that I've done for years.

What problems did you have exactly? By any chance a black screen with spinning fans?

I use Bios 2007 (tweaked Expo) from the release with X670E-F and 7800X3D.

Everything works perfectly!
I'm uncertain about the duration! 🙂

Hi, can I ask You Your settings? Same conf for me apart the model that is X670E-E
I have a BIOS boot time of about 30 sec before it start booting and also I suspect the CPU didn't work well at the moment (I have the same performance that I had with the 5800X3d and the X570E-E
You use any kind of PBO/Curve optimizer? If yes You use the automatic PBO profile or Youset it manually? And if manually what I need to set?
Ah, I forget to say that my ram are G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo RGB F5-6000J3040G32GX2-TZ5NR memory module 64 GB 2 x 32 GB DDR5 6000 MHz

I have said some months ago that all the rear USB 3.2 port don't work with SAMSUNG 256 go USB3.2 gen1

MUF-256DA/APC and have suspected about something wrong on the BIOS or USB drivers.

This afternoon, I have fitted the USB key strongly (verry, verry) on the 4 rear USB 3.2 port and surprisingly this time its working !!

Thats good but where is the problem you can ask ?

Simply because the ASUS backplate isn't completely flat that mean if I put the USB key on the 4 USB 3.2 rear port of the motherboard and keep strongly my finger on the usb key, the key is recognized but if I remove my finger, the key isn't recognized anymore. ASUS backplate need a screw at the middle !!!!!

The backplate seemed to be well placed on the opening but maybe need a little more place on the upper and lower

opening of the corsair tower 4000D to be completely flat ?!?

A report not related to BIOS but could be usefull to other users that mean also choose carelully the USB 3.2 you could buy.

No issues here with an 7950X3D and Gskill 6000 2x32 on 670E-Extreme.
Maybe a defect somewhere?

There is a typo, or typing error in one of the UEFI settings called "CPU more speculative modes". It says "Blanced" when it should be "Balanced". Seen in Asus ROG STRIX X670E-A @ BIOS version 2007. Probably same error in other motherboards as well?

You should be more worried about Asus boards killing themselves (like the Gene) than a typo. 🙂
