ill use this thread to collect some new test bioses for the boards, maybe also to explain some less understood options

to disable cores ccd go here and choose ccd xx bit map down core.
each ones stand for an enabled core
best to disable from the back, ie:
110000
instead of 0011000
after selection press downcore apply changes or discard if made mistake

explanation of segment2 Loadline:

dualseg.jpg

customize a heterogenous loadline for a dual segment workload range.

example above shows loadline=L6 when current is in range of 0~40A, and Level4 when current is above 40A.

Adds for x3d

dynamic ccd priority switch with core flex, os / driver agnostic so win10 win11 ok

97403

97404

Algo as follows:
If condition reached and ccd0 specified, then check current mem/cache activity > threshold and hysteresis reached, if fulfilled then switch
If condition reached and ccd1 specified, then check current mem/cache activity <=threshold and hysteresis reached,, if fulfilled then switch
Default hysteresis =4

Can combine multiple algos for ccd priority so combinations are wide

works on non x3d too but of course senseless on it. detailed explanation here.

So I recently RMA'd my 7950x and was given a 7950x3D.  I've been unable to find a stable memory timings even with stock EXPO on Bios versions 1905 and 2007.  I've tried G.Skill (F5-6000J3038F16GX2-TZ5NR) and Corsair (CMP48GX5M2B6000C30). Both are listed on the QVL for Asus Crosshair Hero X670E.

However, reverting to 1807, I've been able to find a stable settings however still not at the advertised compatible timings.  For Example the Corsair timings should be 30-36-36-76, But I cannot even boot unless its 30-37-37-76.

@huppra welcome to my world, I can get my 4x16GB dimms (mixed G.Skill Neo with Hynix A-Die and M-Die) rock solid stable at 6200MHz CL30 1.38V on 1616 BIOS (Strix B650E-E), but it is impossible to get there on any newer BIOS, on 1809 it will boot but would get TM5 errors within seconds and any other newer bios will just not boot at all with those settings.

So, I am stuck at 1616 bios to get all the juice of my RAM, I don't know what did they touch but the moment the NItro mode appeared it just broke everything for me.

If your going to run 4x16GB then buy a 4x16GB kit. Mix matching memory kits will generally always cause issues.

It's the same kit I bought, it's just that G.Skill used Hynix M-Die for one of them and A-Die fot the other. And it works perfectly fine even overclocked to 6200 CL30 up to 1616 BIOS, it's not the RAM fault that it does not work on newer if it works fine on older.

Have you tried BIOS 2611, start with clear CMOS and enter all settings manually. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/19gqxeeAdUmkwgE0EvH4MlJ7meeDbEHYP-FHYW-PMyOk/edit#gid=5220165...

The newer 1905 seems to work well on my system with 24GB modules, all settings manually, but I am running two dimm board.

Yes I tried all the newer bios entering manually all the settings and none above 1616 works at 6200MHz CL30 with my 4 dimms, only 1809  seems to work fine with the EXPO profile, but haven't fully tested overnight with HCI Memtest or similar. The moment the Nitro mode entered the scene it broke something for 4 dimms at least, I tried

PMIC Force Continuous Current Mode [Enabled]
PMIC Voltages [Sync All PMICs]
Enable Platform PMIC Control [Enable]

But not working either. Also tried enabling and disabling Nitro mode. It must be something they changed in the bios with Nitro mode that makes unstable my 4 dimm RAM configuration where it was perfectly stable before even overclocked.

Anyway really appreciated you tried to help 🙂

Perhaps it is VDDIO/MC may need adjusted, if Auto is 1.45V then test bumping up a bit. Because there is no die sense on Strix.
Only socket sense. I agree lot's of folks having issues with newer BIOS, Nitro mode.

Good luck, I hope you get it sorted out. 🙂

1,55V, absolute max value 😉

Fun thing is, on 1616 bios VDDIO/MC at 1.22V is rock solid stable at 6200 CL30 1.38V RAM 😅

Also FCLK at 2133 auto voltage (1.28V measured on CPU VDDCR_VDD Voltage (SVI3 TFN) via HWINfo)

I do have my 7950X pretty well adjusted on 1616 BIOS, would love to know what did they change so I can not replicate it anymore on newer bios.

I don't know about you, but over time this AM5 platform with Asus (in my case ASUS ROG CROSSHAIR X670E HERO and AMD Ryzen 9 7950X with 2x16 DDR5 6000Mhz KF560C36-16 QVL) starts to get worse with upgrades. Now, even with EXPO mode I enabled at 6000Mhz, CPU VDDIO/MC set to 1.1v, the PC still fails to boot with EXPO mode enabled.
There is no way to keep it stable.
With the old BIOS 0805 everything worked fine.... almost I'm thinking about downgrading...
