TUF GAMING B650M-PLUS WIFI insane sleep/suspend problem

Been using the mobo for 3 months and recently upgraded my GPU from 1070TI Strix to Radeon 6800 and ever since I can't get my PC to sleep. It goes to sleep and wakes up right away. Tested on Linux and Windows with all drivers up-to-date, all BIOS versions, all EXPO settings and everything else in BIOS I could change - same problem. Now what's funny is if I put back my 1070TI or use the integrated graphics there is no such problem so one would thought "it's the gpu" right? Yeah but the same Radeon 6800 works (sleeps) just fine on my old PC X570 chipset with Ryzen 3700X.

PSU SEASONIC FOCUS 850

Any ideas?

Hello johnnieb

Do you think trying the beta bios 1410 would help? It updates AGESA and the TPM 2.0.

It was released yesterday.

Hello @Nate152, I just tried 1410 and it makes no difference. I also tried something that made a difference: I put the card on the second PICE16 slot that is (AMD B650 Chipset 1 x PCIe 4.0/3.0 x16 slot (supports x4 mode)) aka 1 x PCIe 4.0 x16 (max. @x4) @PCH and then I have a working sleep but of course this is not a real solution to the problem.

@Nate152 what do you think?

 I think you should try what this guy did.

He says there were some processes that were keeping his pc from going to sleep.

Scroll down to the solution.

If it wakes up right away it sound like a program is requesting the PC to wake up.

For me when i dealt with this before was to see what program is doing it, you can try the command in CMD as admin powercfg –lastwake and press Enter  and see if it says what woke it.

The programs that i have that wake the pc was intel network via magic packets, i had to disable that in the intel settings for the adapter.

Then i also had easeus todo backup program that i had to disable the wake up command via the programs settings panel.

Then for good measure i go though all devices that uses USB in device manager and check that it cannot wake the PC.

But this does not make any sense as I tried windows and linux + there is no such problem with integrated graphics or my old Nvidia 1070ti card..
@Teletha  @Nate152

very odd. Does it wake up if you do a bios update and a cmos reset and boot up a newly installed windows?

The Windows is fresh and I tried everything bios related

sounds that its a HW issue then maybe, have you tried the bad GPU in another system? is it still waking up if u go back to the 1070ti? Have you tried going with 1 ram stick?

Are you in the EU? then u can buy parts and then return (within 14 days) them after testing has been done so you can see what component is causing the issue.
