Hey everyone,
I'm having a really frustrating issue with my motherboard after a BIOS update and could use some help troubleshooting.
System specs:
Here's what happened:
I bought a new 2TB Crucial Gen4 NVMe drive and decided to install it in the Gen5 slot. Before doing this, I updated my BIOS from v603 to the latest version (v3057). After the update, I noticed my 3090 Ti was only running at PCIe x1 4.0 instead of x16.
I thought it might be a PCIe lane limitation issue, so I reseated one of my old Gen4 NVMes with the new NVMe drive to free up lanes so that there isn't 3 at once. However, the GPU is still stuck at x1 4.0. I've tried:
One interesting thing: In the old BIOS (v603), there was an option to use x16 mode, but this option is completely missing in v3057. I've looked through every BIOS menu and can't find it anywhere.
Has anyone encountered something similar or knows how to fix this? Running this GPU at x1 is definitely not ideal and I'm out of ideas.
Thanks in advance!

Many Graphics cards enter a power saving state when they are idling. Try clicking the question mark (?) on the right side of the Bus Interface field in GPU-Z and run the render test and see if the bus PCIe interface state changes
