Zenith Extreme - Bluetooth Antenna?

ApolloX

Where is the Bluetooth Antenna for Zenith Extreme board? Is it built into the motherboard or is it one of the 2 antennas that comes with it? If so, which one is it? Motherboard manual lists the antennas as being used for WiFi:

1 x ASUS WiGig 802.11ad moving antenna
1 x ASUS 2T2R dual band Wi-Fi moving antennas (Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac compliant)

Does not say which one (if either) is used for Bluetooth. I only want to turn on the Bluetooth controller (not the WiFi controller) in the BIOS, so helpful to know what to plug in.

did you turn the mobo on yet?

bluetooth is built in i think, i don't think you need to plug anything in. It's all the way at the top, same place the wifi stuff is in.

the 2 antennas are for wifi, see attached pic link https://static.bhphoto.com/images/multiple_images/images500x500/1502132501000_IMG_843631.jpg

Turn on a motherboard? Wow.. you must be new.

Also, one of your pics is for STRIX Z270G Gaming motherboard. Ever heard of the Zenith Extreme? That's what this thread is about.

I can confirm this is factually wrong. Just goes to show me what I get asking for help from people who have no idea what they are talking about.

Without the antenna, the Bluetooth has a range of about 3 inches from the motherboard. You need to plug in the 2X antenna for Bluetooth to work.

Go take your ego stroking self and your negative vibes elsewhere. If you were the know it all you just showed off to be, you wouldn't have asked a question here to begin with.

Yes I am aware that the mobo's pic I attached was a STRIX Z270G and the latter pic was of a maximus-ix-formula. The Zenith carries a similar integrated I/O shield to the Maximus 9 and the same BLUETOOTH 4.1 module as both of them. Couldn't find a similar diagram for the Zenith so I attached those instead as they were similar as far as bluetooth 4.1 went.

The antennas them selves say it's for wifi on the first pic and didn't say anything about bluetooth nor does it in their names. However the bluetooth modules themselves are in the same location on all 3 mobos posted.

Furthermore, there exists standalone Bluetooth 4.1 modules that have a built in antenna, however it doesn't list if Asus uses that module specifically.

& yes turn on a motherboard, have you tried it New ROGer? Lol kids get their first mobo and ego stroke. I already a psych profile of who you are in real life based on your posts.

& there are positive ways of sharing knowledge, go about it the positive way, instead of prancing on here asking a question you answered your self while setting off negative energy and pessimism.

Edit: Found the module Asus uses for the zenith wifi + bluetooth, it's the ASUS WIFI GO Qualcomm Atheros QCA9008-TBD1

Bluetooth probably uses the same antenna as:
1 x ASUS 2T2R dual band Wi-Fi moving antennas (Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac compliant)

Reason: Bluetooth and WiFi both uses 2.4GHz (WiFi 802.11n and .ac can also use 5GHz).
The WifI antenna for 802.11ad is for 60MHz so the antenna is not suitable for the wavelenght of Bluetooth (2.4GHz)

The antenna for Bluetooth/WiFi have two connectors, try connecting one at the time to see which enables Bluetooth. (Hopefully the other connector combines WiFi 2.4/5GHz)

I think bluetooth maybe the third one based on the pic from https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Atheros-QCA9008-TBD1-Wireless-AC-AD-Bluetooth-4-1-WIFI-Module-2-4G-5...

The first one antenna connector says WiGig, the second says Wifi and the third doesn't say anything right next to it but it may well be for bluetooth. It does say Main under the "Wifi" and "Aux" under the no name one as well.

There is also the possibility that wifi module can't be turned off while bluetooth is enabled as wifi and bluetooth can now co exist on the same antenna

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Atheros-QCNFA34AC-AC-WIFI-Module-Wireless-802-11AC-Bluetooth-4-1-M-2...

The same antenna port is used for Wifi and BT simultaneously in the above models

The below model for BT 4.2 seems to do that as well, listing description states "it is important that Bluetooth and WiFi can coexist"
