I am researching a threadripper build. I am going to be running 4 nvidia gpus, and my application would benefit from quad sli.
I would like to buy the X399-E if possible, over the Zenith Extreme. However, the documentation is confusing here.
The specs on the website for the X399-E show support for quad-gpu sli, but don't show the PCIe bandwidth modes for four active slots.
Then in the manual, quad sli is not even mentioned.
Here, the same comparison for the Prime X399-A. Quad sli is mentioned on both the website and in the manual, however PCIe bandwidth in four-slot configs are only mentioned in the manual.
Here, the same for the Zenith Extreme Alpha (I'm sure is very expensive but the confusion is worth noting). On the website, quad gpu sli is not mentioned, though the manual claims support.
Who to believe? Why is the doc for these like this? It would be safe to assume they all support quad sli, but better to double check.
