Updating USB 3.1 (asm314) breaks USB 3.1

I had to reinstall windows this weekend, so I went to the downloads page and start updating every driver, installing all the latest software.

I got to the USB section and noticed an firmware update. So I ran the update for asm314, as I just updated to the latest bios.

Now my red usb 3.1 ports on the back IO panel no longer work.
The USB C port doesn't work, nor does the red USB A.
The Firmware update ASM3142_FW_171005_70_02_00 update broke my USB 3.1 red ports on the back IO panel.

Can any one offer suggestions?

I reverted to the 1601 bios and no change.

Hi,

I do not think the BIOS is root cause, you can go back to the latest BIOS 1701.

I think you have installed the latest firmware 171005.70.02.00 for your ASMedia USB 3.x controller, but not the latest drivers 1.16.56.1 WHQL that work with it (not available on the support page of your motherboard) : https://mega.nz/#!shxVUADC!eqE36l03XFcV8SWUTZu4kGjGuWoWHpSZApVdjNV3mTw

Thank you for your time.
I changed back to 1701 bios and updated the drivers using the link you supplied.
I still have a problem tho.
The system is acting like it doesn't see the port anymore, none of the red ports on the back of my system, not the usb c and not the usb a port work anymore.
This is after running that usb update on the downloads page, I think the firmware flash went bad or something.
I plug items in that would light up on other ports and the item doesn't light up on the red usb 3.+ ports. I have no problems with any of the blue 3.0 ports just the red 3.+ ones.

Thanks

As far as I can tell something is wrong with the device. Is there a way I can attempt a reflash of the firmware?
I tried to run that firmware update tool again and it just errors out.80361

Bump.
Has anyone else run into this?
Has anyone run the USB firmware updater?
What are your XHCI settings?
Any help, please...

I did run the updater, back in March. As I dropped off the forum I never saw this thread and didn't test. Currently I have the Zenith Extreme removed and using a Zenith Extreme Alpha so can't test this.
